Story

We are Team Ward, a group of ten teenagers campaigning and fundraising our chosen charity Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital, a charity which is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating all species of British wildlife.

We chose Tiggywinkles because as a team we are passionate about helping the environment and local wildlife as this links closely with our community partner, Farnham Community Farm. As part of our community project we have been asked to help the farm to build a nature habitat which will increase the biodiversity needed for a successful organic farm to run.

Our challenge is to travel 114 miles (the distance from Guildford to Leeds) on cross trainers, each group member will individually travel 11 miles as part of this event, which will be run as a relay with a time limit of 3 hours. We will also be litter picking in Guildford town centre.

The date of our challenge is Sunday the 19th of August 2018
