We fund life saving medical research to beat the world's biggest killers.

Story

Since my old dad did it I've never really fancied riding from London to Brighton. But, if a silly old fart can do it on a borrowed bike - and have a pint in every pub he saw along the way - then surely I could have a go?

But then I saw an off-road version. Cool. And then I thought -"what about doing it on a single speed mountain bike?". You know, like a real bike but with the gears ripped off.

Then I thought "that's a bit of a stupid thing to try and my heart would surely give up - instead of being a fund-raiser I'd end up being a fund-user", but my stupid brain goaded me on with "What!? Are you wimping out, mummy's boy?"

So. I'm gonna do it. 75 miles off-road. In a day. Without gears. I must be mad.

Please donate a couple of quid. I'd at least like to match the costs I'm going to incur for transport, food, entry fee and post-ride medical expenses for a new bum and an oxygen tent.

thanks,

Gus
