Story

I saw a poster in the Hopsice Furniture shop, which is about 100 yards from where I live, advertising the need for participants for this trip. Having done the 3 Peak Challenge twice for charity, I feel that this is an appropriate opportunity for me to challenge myself and raise much needed funds..

6 years ago, when my Gran was diagnosed with cancer, the Hospice were hugely supportive to her. Many of  you know that I spent much of the beginning of 2014 travelling up and down the M25 between Basingstoke and Tunbridge Wells, seeing Valerie and trying to make sure that she had everything she needed, physically and emotionally. Valerie had long been a supporter of the Hospice, despite being in a wheelchair for a signifacant part of her later years. Sadly, at the end, there was no available space at the Hopsice for Valerie to go there. She died on the 2nd April 2014.

This trek is aiming to raise funds to help  improve an already splendid service - let's smash the limits and enable them to extend the space to provide that service for more people.

Thanks so much for all your support!
