Tennis was a source of joy for Lynne. She used to play every week throughout the year, until her deteriorating mobility no longer allowed it. Lynne enjoyed hitting volleys and watching her children and grandchildren play on a recent family holiday in Northumberland. She spent some of her final days watching the Australian Open on TV, supporting her favourite player, Roger Federer, who went on to win the title after she passed away.
