Story

As some of you may know, I am running the London marathon in 2019. Now I haven't got the best of histories with marathons, indeed my first attempt last year in Paris ended in the back of an ambulance with severe heat stroke - hopefully not to be repeated! I will most certainly be doing a rain dance the day before this year...

I'm running for the Ron Pickering Memorial Trust to support the absolutely brilliant work they do funding and supporting young British athletics talent. I was amazed to find out that they helped the careers of the majority of the British Athletics Olympic teams in 2008, 2012 and 2016, including all of the London 2012 individual Olympic athletics medallists. These guys are fantastic at helping young talent and nurturing it to world class level, which is really borne out when you look at the calibre of athletes they've supported who have included
Jessica Ennis-Hill, Christine Ohuruogu, Greg Rutherford, Mo Farah, Larua Muir, and many more!

Please give genereously for this fantatsic cause, and to do my part I will try and make it to the finish line this time!
