Since 2007 The High Level Early Childhood Centre in Uganda has been providing nursery and primary education to local children who are unable to afford school fees. The centre also cares for some orphans on site. Managing day to day basic needs is always a challenge and they are currently experiencing the effects of the drought in East Africa. Food costs have risen, in some cases doubling, which means they have been unable to meet the daily needs of the children.
