We are undertaking this long bike ride across Europe (over 300miles) to raise money for the Yorkshire Cancer Centre. If you get cancer in the yorkshire area, this is more often than not where you will be treated.

Last year we cycled from London to Paris, which was a challenge as for all bar one of us we had never been on road bikes before. It was difficult, painful on the booty and very tiring, but extremely rewarding. We raised over £6k and had a lot of fun doing it...so,  after the pain subsided, we  decided to do another one, despite promising never to do it again (isn't that usually the case!) 

We made a great team last year and helped each other along the way, a great bonding experience.

This year we have  two more riders to join us, Sam's husband, Gareth- who himself has been in receipt of care from the Yorkshire Cancer Centre, - quite an inspiration to everyone, and, to be honest the reason why we're all getting in the saddle once again.

Alec, Sally and Jon's son is also joining us this year so the team will go from strength to strength.

Sadly Louise, Andy and Gareth have all lost parents to cancer, and have all experienced what a horrible disease this is. We all have close friends and families of friends who have been to, and continue to have to go to the Yorkshire cancer centre for their treatment, continual check ups and support through their journey..... this inspires us to continue to raise money for this worthwhile cause.
