Thanks for taking the time to visit Mum's JustGiving page.

Unfortunately since completing the marathon last summer, mum peacefully passed away in her sleep after her 16 year long battle with cancer early on September 1st. This was a battle not many could've dealt with for so long, and especially not with the courage, integrity and determination mum displayed right until the very end. A truly remarkable woman who will be sorely missed every day. 

Her wish was for any donations go to this fantastic charity- to help finally find a cure for this illness, and to make sure no one had to go through what Mum battled through in years to come. Our personal experience just shows how real this battle is, and how we need to raise awareness of fantastic charities like NET Patient Foundation and tackle cancer head on.

NET (Neuro Endocrine Tumour) Patient Foundation is a charity for a very rare form of cancer, something very close to our family. The work undertaken by this charity is invaluable in helping patients and families, as well as providing key funding to enable future research.
