Story

Ralph is 4 years old and lives with Dravet Syndrome. His first seizure came at 7 months old and was the start of a long battle with further seizures, learning disability and global delay, autism, mobility issues and an unknown life expectancy. Despite this, he is an absolute warrior who will throw himself at this challenge with everything he has!! Once he realises he is allowed to throw himself into balls and water and chuck paint around he is going to be unstoppable!

Demelza came into our lives when Ralph was 2 years old and have provided him with so many magical memories and experiences, as well as a safe place where everyone else is just like him. They give us respite as a family and are always on the other end of the phone if needed. It is a special, unique place which makes sure that children who may not have long lives, at least have the most full lives they can!

Things changed for the whole family when Ralph got diagnosed, so to continue to mark our appreciation for Demelza, Nathan and I are going to run the Little Warrior obstacle course with Freddie, Grace, Ralph and their Nanna. This will be the first time Ralph has taken part in a fundraiser and it also falls a few days before his 5th birthday, so it will be a very special day 💜
