The Movement Centre Statement 

 ‘’Our mission at The Movement Centre is to maximise the potential of children’s movement control through Targeted Training. Many children who visit us have a disability that affects their movement control. Targeted Training addresses these issues. Consequently, a course of therapy can help children to gain essential functional skills. Gaining these skills can make a child far more independent. As a result, this can completely change their lives.’’

My Story

Hi I’m Hayley, and together with a little help from my family & friends I’m organising a charity event to raise money for The Movement Centre a charity based in Gobowen.

Our little girl is 2 years old and has weak muscles, because of this she doesn’t sit, stand or walk, the Movement Centre has provided Lacey with a bespoke standing frame that supports her lower body so she can just work on strengthening smaller areas of her torso at a time, this is called ‘Target Trainig’. 

We go back for regular reviews to the Movement Centre every 8-10 weeks and the aim is to slowly lower the frame as Lacey becomes stronger, the results this charity has from target training are excellent. 

As it’s a charity we have to fund part of the standing frame ourselves, and as u can imagine it doesn’t come cheap, this is why I’m organising a charity event full of music, dancing, food, auctions & a raffle.
