Story

A little about KE

Attending K|E provides a routine, sense of purpose, regular access to support and the opportunity to develop skills and confidence within a safe environment. Without us, service users would experience isolation, reduced opportunities and experience a poorer quality of life. Several service users have expressed that attending K|E has provided them with a way of contributing to society in a meaningful way. Any donation will be used to continue the valuable, proactive work we do focusing on what can be achieved rather than challenges faced.

A little about me

I did the GNR once in 2013.  Training didn't go to plan. I injured my ankle playing Netball about 12 weeks before GNR, so managed no long runs, and no training in the few weeks before.  I hated my GNR.  I cried the last mile. I swore never again.  And stuck to that for 9 year!  Until now.  I've been working at KE and see first hand how this charity gives the Service Users a real sense of purpose to life, they socialise, and have fun, but work hard too, get creative and get productive. It is an essential in the Service Users lives.  So for me this was a no brainer I had to help raise money for KE, but personally i needed to lay some GNR ghosts to rest, I don't want to cry sad tears in that last mile I want to cry happy tears!  Can i just ask you all say a little prayer for my knees and ankles.

Thanks for reading and donating, Hx
