Story

A new Computer Conservation Society Project

The HEC 1 computer is currently in storage in Birmingham and is generally not visible to the public.   Permission has been obtained from Birmingham Museums to have the machine on display at TNMOC.   However, we need to move the machine carefully from Birmingham, then display the machine in a secure cabinet at the museum, and finally produce materials to explain the machine and present it as well as we can.

The Computer Conservation Society has donated £3000, Birkbeck College £750, and Rod Brown and the 1301 guys donated £1201 - all towards the cost of this project.
