Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm running my 1st marathon (the London one) in loving memory of Debbie Ranger - my amazing friend who was diagnosed out of the blue with an inoperable Grade 4 brain tumour in March 2017. Very sadly Debbie lost her battle with cancer on the 5th Sept 2017.
Debbie was a regular runner and completed a number of half marathons over the years. Every year I applied for the London ballot Debbie said she'd come down to see me attempt to run it. In April I know Debs will be with me every step of the way and pushing me on to complete this mammoth challenge.
I am running for Hospice UK because of all the vital work they do to support the development of hospice care across the UK and help they provide for hospice providers and professionals. The Myton Hospice Warwick did an amazing job of supporting Debbie and her family through the trauma of her diagnosis. And I know the local hospices in Northern Ireland support many, many families in their time of need.
