I am delighted to have been selected, along with 11 others to take part in 'The Best Western Hotels & Macmillan Ride of Their Lives' at York Racecourse on Saturday 16th June 2018. Over the next few months I will undergo intense jockey training before racing on the Knavesmire in front of thousands! 

In 2005 my first husband, father to our two daughters, sadly lost his battle with cancer. I was his sole carer throughout his illness which has given me an enormous insight into the amazing work done by the Macmillan Support team. My main motivation to ride in this race is to raise as much money as possible for this wonderful charity- this coupled with my lifelong passion for horses, will hopefully be a fantastic opportunity to experience 'The Ride of My Life'.
