My story goes ... I won a ballot place (on my first attempt!) in the Virgin London Marathon 2020 therefore I am not required to do any fundraising for any organisation. My ballot place however has been deferred as the event has been postponed due to CoVID19 restrictions. I have selected April 2022 as the preferred choice for my deferred place - fingers crossed I’ll get that. I had also registered in this virtual event which is on Sunday 4th October 2020.

I have created this fundraising page, it is only because some people want to sponsor me. It will be my first time ever doing a marathon! I will take my time walking as I wouldn’t be racing and I will have a personal best anyway :)

I know from my personal experience that it’s so important for everyone to know how to deal with any stress or trauma and to maintain their well-being. For most deaf people, it is difficult enough not hear or know about any vital information or access much needed services for any health issues they may have. Deaf people often are not understood by the mainstream professionals due to cultural differences, language barriers or the lack of deaf awareness.
