Fundraising for Pendleside Hospice
Story
When my friend Julie 'Miss December' asked if I would be interested in helping organise a 'Calendar Girls' style calendar I jumped at the chance. What could be a better than spending a couple of Sundays in September shooting photos semi-naked with a group of fantastic ladies - especially when you've agreed to have yours taken in an outside courtyard!! We prayed for fine weather and luckily that's what we were given.
The decision to support Pendleside Hospice with any profits made from sales was an easy decision to make - 3/4 of it's running costs are raised locally through individual and organised fundraising events and when these amount to almost £4million it's no easy task. Unfortunately, most of us in our life time will have contact with the Hospice, whether it be caring for a loved one at end of life or supporting a cancer survivor - one being my lovely mum. The Hospice looks after all who pass through their doors in a caring and supportive way - never too much but then also never too little.
Please give generously to support this fantastic organisation in it's 30th anniversary year.
