Story
On Sunday 3rd June 2012, we are doing a 13-mile sponsored walk around Leicester's countryside, to raise money for The Brooke, an international animal welfare organisation dedicated to improving the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules in some of the world's poorest communities. They provide treatment, training and programmes around animal health and wellbeing, operating across countries including India, Ethiopia, Egypt, Pakistan, Kenya, Nepal, Guatemala, Jordan, Senegal and Afghanistan.
The Brooke was established in 1934 by Dorothy Brooke and is now the leading welfare charity for working equine animals in the developing world. To read some more about this amazing charity, visit http://www.thebrooke.org
