Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK is the charity for people affected by SMA. We provide emotional support for anyone affected by SMA and fund research related activities.

Story

George and Harry are 4 year old twins.  From the moment they were born, they have absolutely adored each other and have been inseparable. They both developed at the same time, learning to do new things together. Then one day Harry stood up and started to walk. George watched on proudly, but he was unable to make his legs do the same.

Just before their first birthday George got diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) type 2.   We were told that George will never stand or walk independently.  He relies on a wheelchair for all his mobility, but this does not stop him and Harry from charging around and getting up to all sorts of mischief together!

Although Harry Is not directly affected by SMA, it still has a huge impact on his life.  Harry always says "I love Buddy" and does everything he can to help George, but unfortunately there are things he can't help with.

The SMA Support UK (formerly The Jennifer Trust) support individuals and their families with SMA.   Both George and Harry have benefitted hugely from their support and will continue to do so.  We are helping Harry to help his Buddy by raising money for this charity.

On Saturday 2nd May 2015 Harry is doing a sponsored swim.  Harry can get nervous when doing things without his Buddy by his side, so George will be in the water too supporting him!

Please support Harry and help him to help his best buddy George.
