This just started as something to do, while I couldn't play golf, but have really enjoyed my running, and feel so much better for it. Originally, I entered the St Albans Half Mararthon as a challenge, and a new target. But then I thought, why not take this opportunity to see if I can raise some money, for a worthwhile cause.
I'm raising money for the Children's Mitochondrial Disease Network. The Children's Mitochondrial Disease Network is the only UK charity dedicated to providing information and support for all mitochondrial disorders, to families, carers and professionals.
Hopefully, I can raise a few pounds, in memory of Archie Bleakley, who was sadly lost to a mitochondrial disorder on the 9th December 2011.
