My name is Chloe. I'm 11 years old and I'm from Audenshaw, in
Greater Manchester.

I was born with a number of complex medical conditions that mean I have to use a wheelchair bound

I have to have regular appointments at Great Ormond
Street, Alder Hey and Manchester Children’s Hospitals.

I have to use oxygen at night due to a restrictive lung disease that I have.

To give me a break and to help me make some amazing memories, my mum and dad, Sarah and Colin, decided to apply for a place for me on Caudwell Children’s annual Destination Dreams holiday to Disney World, in Florida.

Caudwell Children is a national charity that provides practical and emotional support to disabled children and their families.

The charity created Destination Dreams in 2007, to give 25
children, who are really poorly, the chance to experience a
‘Dream’ holiday to Disney World.

We were so happy when the charity offered me a place on the holiday but mum says the race is now on to cover the cost of the holiday.

I can't believe that we are one of only 25 families to have been selected for the dream trip, we simply can't believe it.

The families are really well looked after as the charity provide a  team of paediatric doctors and nurses who are available 24/7.

This is really important for us as we have never been on a plane together or even out of the country as a family.

Mum and dad were told by doctors that I can’t go on a flight
without medical help, because on a plane the cabin pressure is greater and oxygen is thinner. 

So the fact that Caudwell Children provide a full medical
team is perfect for me.

The charity also take along over 40 volunteers to assist families around the theme parks.

But because of the costs of taking very poorly children overseas the charity has to pay, on average, £12,000 per family.

Mum says in the current economic climate there’s always the risk
that they won’t be able to raise enough money by the time the holiday comes around in December 2018.

So all the families on the trip have decided to appeal to their local community to ensure that we get on that plane to Florida,
in December.

I like Little Mix and One Direction, but I really love all the Disney characters, to the extent that I watch Disney whenever I'm poorly, to make me feel better.
