It's been completely phenomenal seeing the momentum this petition has gathered. I've genuinely been bowled over by the many amazing comments and touching reasons you've been leaving for signing.

It's so clear that there's overwhelming support to find a long-term sustainable solution for people who are homeless and the government has misjudged the public mood by thinking that we'll let it continue.

In the meantime, so many national and local charities are doing incredible work in recognising that homelessness is the symptom and not the cause and in helping rough sleepers get back on track.

I thought it might be nice to make a JustGiving page to raise some funds for Centrepoint, if people would like another way to get involved. Centrepoint is the UK's leading charity for homeless young people. What is more, Princess Diana was a former patron of theirs, which seemed rather fitting. 

Any money you donate will go directly to them and the amazing work they do.
