Homelessness is a growing crisis throughout the world. It's an isolating and frightening experience and shouldn't happen to anyone. How many times have you walked past someone living on the street without giving them a second thought? Homeless people are usually considered invisible, ignored and often forgotten about. At worst, homelessness can mean sleeping rough however the problem is much bigger than that with deeply saddened stories behind the people we see.

Sadly we've noticed an increase of people and often their dogs, ending up homeless on the streets around the UK. Therefore we have decided to raise money to help a couple of causes who provide shelter, food and the basic survival necessities these people and dogs desperately need.

All Dogs Matter (www.alldogsmatter.co.uk), a charity very close to our hearts have recently launched a new outreach program to provide dogs and their owners with these basic necessities like food, worm/flea treatment, coats, bedding, micro-chipping and medical assistance where needed.

Crisis (www.crisis.org.uk) is the national charity for homeless people who are dedicated to ending homelessness by delivering life-changing services and campaign for change. They aim to do more for homeless people across the UK and also campaign to change the way society thinks and acts towards these people.

To help both of these worthwhile causes, my brother and I have decided to spend 24 hours sleeping rough (with no food or drink) on the streets of London to see if we can even begin to understand what homeless people go through day in and day out. It will be a real life experience/experiment and we'll attempt to speak with those suffering and stream live their stories live on Facebook to help raise awareness and try to understand how they cope and survive living in these awful circumstances.

It's going to be a huge reality check and a difficult 24 hours so we'd greatly appreciate any support you can offer and any small donation will go a long way to helping the cause and the many people that struggle each day.

If you'd rather not donate money, we would also be extremely grateful for any old/unused clothes donations. Please feel free to drop these in directly to All Dogs Matter as this will also be very well received and make a huge difference to many lives.

Our sleeping rough date will be March 18th from 7am for 24hours. Location likely to be from Marble Arch up through Bond Street, Oxford
Circus, Tottenham Court Road and around Covent Garden and Leicester Square so feel free to come and find us and show some support.
