Hope for the Young are a brilliant charity whose goal is to enable young refugees to access invaluable educational and financial resources to enable the betterment of their lives. 

As a man of undeniably average fitness, I am attempting to contribute towards such a  great cause by biting off way more than I can chew!

I will be peddling my podgy bod 240km through Spain in the peak of summer. I am set to tackle what is unquestionably one of Europe's least flat regions armed with only my wits, a tent and a backpack full of Tracker bars. The long and winding route will take me through several national parks in which I will spend the first 150km going almost entirely uphill climbing a total vertical distance of 2000 meters. 

 I can't express how important charities like Hope for the Young are in world full of displaced people. What I'll be putting myself through here is a drop in the ocean compared to the enormity of the global refugee crisis and the stories of the individuals Hope for the Young supports.
