Fundraising for RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution
Story
On Sunday 14 July 2019, a member of the Huers Clothing Co. team will be swimming from Padstow to Rock.
The event is organised by the amazing team at Marie Curie and Huers Clothing Co. makes an annual donation to Marie Curie to support the Padstow to Rock Swim.
In addition to this, every year we try and raise a little extra money for the RNLI. The RNLI is an incredible charity, a special group of dedicated volunteers up and down the UK risking their lives in all weathers to protect those at need in our waters.
This will be the second time a member of our team has done the swim. Last year it was windy, choppy and cold. We're hoping for clear skies and calm waters this time out.
The swim is about a mile, depending on the exact state of the tide and which route is taken across the Camel Estuary. All swimmers are in coloured hats (according to their category) and wetsuits. Last year, we were swimmer number 442, so expect a lot of people in and around Padstow and Rock on the day.
