We inspire communities and young people to create lasting change around the world

Charity Registration No. 1047653

Mambo (that means Hello in Swahili)! I'll start with a big thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and I’m really excited to tell you that I have been selected to volunteer overseas with Raleigh International as part of ICS (International Citizen Service). I'll be spending 10 weeks in rural Tanzania working on a voluntary project that aims to promote and encourage sustainable development in some of the poorest areas of the world.

What am I fundraising for?

The first part of my placement is a challenge to raise £1500 towards the work of Raleigh International and their ICS partners.

Raleigh International aims to create a global community that is working towards sustainable development all over the world, to ensure that everybody has equal access to education, healthcare and sanitation.

ICS aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development. The money raised will go towards enabling the overall costs of ICS, ensuring they can continue sending youth volunteers (such as myself) to the developing world to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities.

All the funds volunteers raise will support all ICS partners to run the programme effectively, always contributing to their vital work.

Fundraising activities

I am currently receiving sponsorship for the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge! Please donate as much as you can!

You can keep track of how I get on here, on my JustGiving page, and on my Facebook! Any contribution from you will make a real difference to the lives of people in developing countries, so please dig deep!

Thanks for your support! :)
