Charity Registration No. 1023311

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

8 friends will be attempting the Welsh 3000 challenge, Snowdonia, in 24 hours, including traversing the notorious "Knife Edge" Crib Goch ridge.  See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELdijJpGcyc for the scale of what we are attempting as individuals who have never climbed a mountain!!!

George Thomas Hospice Care is the major provider of specialist home-based palliative care in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. They exist to help those suffering from cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, their families and carers at a most difficult and stressful period in their lives.

Their skilled nursing care and range of important support services is available to their patients and their families totally free of charge. They are a registered charity and to provide their vital service they need to raise the large bulk of their running costs from voluntary fundraising.

The Team: Huw Jenkins, Brian Driscoll, Mark Lightburn, Chris Skinner, Kurt Bettles, Ramesh Varsani, Simon Davies and Andy Murphy (Old Man).

This challenge is usually spread over 3 days, covering 15 peaks above 3000 feet but starting at 4am on Sunday June 21st.  We hope to complete the 30 miles non stop within 24 hours!!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: George Thomas Hospice Care gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!
