My story is I was born with aortic stenosis and I had open heart surgery at 4 years old I then spent my years working my life and school life with my heart problems. And I got by pretty well till I went and got older 29 years later I was told i had to have an aortic valve replacement with a mechanical valve I was then on warfarin for the rest of my life but yet I plodded on till I got to around 49 and I got really ill I put a lot of weight on and I was so so tired and had major water retention to the point I ended up at 23 stone.  I went through a couple of surgeons who were not confident to help me then got sent to Manchester royal infirmary and I met Mr Andreas he was confident and wow what a surgeon he not only put a new valve he made my aortic route 3 times bigger and I also had a leak in my tricuspid valve which he put a ring on. Guys and gals I am so so grateful I want to raise money for the young children coming into this world.  Cared for looked after made comfortable while their in hospital. So they can have great days out  and to help them forget what’s going on in there life.
