Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  We are running the Manchester Half Marathon on Sunday 13th October in aid of Francis House Children's Hospice who are a local charity based in Didsbury.

Not only is this a huge challenge for us all, we hope to raise some money to help Francis House Children's Hospice so they can continue the important work they do in supporting approximately 2,000 people across Manchester at any one time with respite care, homecare, sibling support, end of life care and emotional bereavement support.

Francis House is at the forefront of specialist palliative care provision, caring for children with a wide variety of life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.  One of their main aims is to enable children, teenagers and young adults to live life to the full, often helping to fulfil dreams.  Many of these dreams are the kind of things most of us take for granted in our own lives, but are difficult to accomplish when coping with disability or illness.

Any donations, however small, will be greatly appreciated so please give whatever you can.  Thank you for your support.
