Well.. I managed to get around the town and across the finish line in 3h 33m and without any serious injurers, which I am delighted about!  

But more so I am overwhelmed by the generous donations and kind messages from everyone who donated!  

Thank you all very much for your kindness and for helping us together raise nearly 5K for Get Kids Going!

Tokyo next... :)

In 2017 I set myself a goal to run 5 marathons by the time I turn 50, and that got upped to 10…. and the time is finally here – Marathon #10!  Where better to run this than the historical Berlin marathon course on 25^th September 2022, and on my birthday too 😊. 

While I am very excited to be participating and very pleased #10 is finally here, I have been injured for two weeks now, through training having run 450 miles in the last 10 weeks and a killer 10K the other weekend, and I am hoping the intense PT I am undergoing and switching from pounding the road to the elliptical in the gym will help me be able to run on the day, and in a decent time.  Either way I am certain I will finish, even if I have to crawl over the finish line!!

With your support, and some very generous matching by ADM Cares, we have managed to raise over $100k for good causes!!  Thank you very much for your support and donations to date! 

With inflation skyrocketing and each of us having our own preferred causes we like to give to; I understand if you chose to not support me and Get Kids Going! in the Berlin marathon on 25^th September 2022.

Get Kids Going! works tirelessly to give disabled children and young people, up to the age of 26 years, the wonderful opportunity of participating in sport.  Get Kids Going! inspires disabled youngsters to compete in sporting events, from start to Paralympic level, by also giving them sports grants to help with their: training, physiotherapy, sports psychology, travel, competition fees and the design and development of sports’ equipment. With your help many can become world record holders and Paralympic champions!
