Over the last 12 months I hear again and again that another friend, colleague, client, acquaintance has been affected by Cancer. The numbers keep going up, but thanks to the work of charities and the people that support them, the awareness is increasing and more and more people are being checked, the treatment is improving and this can only be a good thing! Charities need all the financial help they can get and that's why I have teamed up with Yes to Life.
Yes to Life is inspired by a unique way of responding to cancer. Their aim is to change culture and attitude and to make holistic cancer care (orthodox, complementary and alternative treatments working in harmony) readily available throughout the UK. http://www.yestolife.org.uk
Personally, I’m a huge fan of the way that Yes to Life empower cancer patients to choose a treatment plan that works for them and provides Help Line support, so that no one with cancer ever feels as if they are alone. But they need funds to do all of this.
As some of you may know I have been testing myself in events over the last 12-18 months (mainly to train my mind to say ‘yes’ to overcoming the obstacles my body says ‘no’ to!) such as playing a 5 ‘a’ side football match for over 48 hours (Game for a Future) and Running 25KM cross country in gale force winds and torrential rain (Spartan Beast Race).
After connecting with some inspiring people during this time, I am ready to scale up the level of my challenges, culminating in running the London Marathon in 2015 and in the process, raise a whopping £2,000 for Yes To Life.
I am targeting completing at least 1 event per month and am open to suggestions if you want to challenge me to an event - in exchange for a donation!!!
So please give what you can and help me achieve my target of £2000 before the London Marathon Next in April year!
