We are powered by people. We’re here to find a cure and improve lives, together.

Story

Thank you SO much for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On both sides of our family, we have a history of Parkinsons disease.

Past research has proved life changing within our family as David (Debs' Dad) was fortunate enough to have Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery in 2012, which has had a positive impact on his life. In January 2018, David will be undergoing his second surgery to adjust one of the electrodes in his brain in order to increase the effect of the treatment. All of this would not have been possible without the research and support from Parkinsons UK. Consequently, we are determined to raise funds for ongoing research to find a cure for this debilitating disease.

The Icelandic Lava Trek will give us the opportunity to raise the profile of Parkinsons and raise much needed funds towards the research.

Any donation, no matter how small will make a huge difference and be greatly appreciated by the whole Wilson family and other Parkinsons sufferers.

Join us... find a cure!

Thank you and lots of love from,

Kath and Debs xx

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
