Story

My daughter Ava was born at 31 (+5) weeks weighing just 2lbs 13 ozs back in October 2008. She spent 5 weeks on Buscot Ward where she was helped to breathe, fight off infection and learnt to feed and regulate her own temperature. Thanks to the staff of Buscot Ward, we now have a happy, chatty 3 year old with no long lasting effects.

Ever since the day she came home to us with Take That's 'Greatest Day' (now known to Ava as 'her' song) blaring out of the car stereo, we have wondered how we could repay her visit.

I have started a blog called 'I Did It Mummy' - http://ididitmummy.com/ which was inspired by Ava. When she achieves something that she doesn't think she'll be able to, she often says 'I Did It Mummy' and in her own way, that is what she said to us the day she left Buscot. I will be encouraging readers of my blog to donate to BIBS because tomorrow another sick and/or premature baby will be born at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and they and their parents will rely on the staff and equipment of Buscot Ward for their Greatest Day.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
