THERE ARE CURRENTLY 40,000 INDIVIDUALS IN THE UK WITH A SPINAL CORD INJURY. EVERY DAY ANOTHER FOUR PEOPLE ARE TOLD THEY MAY NEVER WALK AGAIN. 

Clwb Nofio Ynys Mon / Isle of Anglesey Swimming Club are hoping to make a difference by raising funds for the Aspire Channel Swim event. Every week our members train to swim at three pools on Anglesey. Their warm-up and swim-down each session will typically cover a minimum of 500m (20 lengths x 25m) and depending upon the age and development of the swimmer they could swim 2000+ m per session.

We hope to cover the 22 miles several times over just by logging our training sessions. Additionally we will be featuring the swim at each of our club nights in October, November and December with the hope that we can complete the distance on these evenings. We also hope that some of our swimmers will individually complete the distance.
