For those that may not know my family lost my beautiful Nanna Jackie in late October 2021. 

My Nan fought through many battles in her life with so much strength and has raised us all the same way. She was one of my biggest supporters and has left a massive hole in all of our lives. When I first ran the half marathon in 2019 I always promised her I’d do it again so this year feels right and to run the Great North Run in her memory will be a huge honour.

The charity I will be running for is the Asthma + Lung UK.

Asthma + Lung UK are the UK only dedicated lung charity and a cause very dear to our hearts with my Nanna suffering from COPD.

They provide support for people affected by Lung conditions, campaign for cleaner air, and offer hope through research. To read more about their work have a look at their website below:
