Blood cancer is the third most common cause of cancer death in the UK. DKMS is an international not for profit organisation dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and blood disorders through creating awareness, recruiting stem cell donors, supporting improvements to therapies through research, and supporting patients from day 1 of their diagnosis.

1 in 2 people will be affected by some form of cancer in their lifetime, and only 1 in 4 currently access Macmillan's amazing services for people living with cancer and their families and friends. These include a helpline, support centres, nurses, financial advice, support getting back into work after remission, and end of life care.

Fundraising and raising awareness is hugely important to DKMS and Macmillan. Without people doing events, running marathons, climbing mountains, and donating in all the other ways that you can, these charities wouldn't exist.
