We fight for the hope of young people to create a society built for all children

Story

Since the coronavirus started Ivey has had no choice but to hear about it, like most children. She hears mam and dad talking, it’s on the radio, the tv, it’s every where. Even though we shield her from most of it she still asks questions.

Since lockdown she has been non stop talking, and coming up with ideas about how she can help others. She wants to raise money towards one of the much needed charities.

We spoke about three different charities who all need support at this time. Ivey decided she wanted to raise money for The Children’s Society.

Ivey will be doing a 30 minute walk at home on the treadmill. On Friday 10th April, Ivey doesn’t like walking so this will be a big challenge for her. She’s been practicing daily and is putting her heart and soul into this.

The Children’s Society helps thousands of vulnerable children who are already struggling. These children have been plunged into desperation and danger by the coronavirus crisis. The children’s society offers some children their only lifeline.

The Coronavirus crisis has put vulnerable children in even more danger. Lockdown means they are hidden from view and trapped at home, at risk of abuse and neglect and without the vital support they need. They're all alone, trying to cope with their worries, fears and worsening mental health.

Your donation will help the front-line staff deliver vital care packages, provide urgent support and advice, and arrange an emergency response for children in imminent danger that could save their lives.

Your donation will help us be there for children who need us during these challenging times. Thank you.
