This is our story.

Our son Jack was born with a congenital heart defect, and with the months to follow, were probably the hardest of our lives. Three weeks after jack was born he had a spiritual arrest at Milton Keynes hospital, he was immediately transferred to Southampton General Hospital paediatric intensive care unit. the following week he had his first heart operation. The operation went great, and he was showing signs of a full recovery. Two days after his operation Jack had a heart attack, I don't think his mum and I have ever been so scared. he was put on full life support and it was hit or miss for three days when the doctors said they do see signs of improvement. Two days after that he was taken off life support and making full recovery. Our son Jack has had another operation after that, along with a few infections including RSV Bronchiolitis.

You wouldn't think to look at him that there was anything wrong with him, and with one more operation we hope that will then be it. We feel very strong about this. The British Heart Foundation help us a lot to understand Jacks condition.
