Story

Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.

Jack has been 'involved' in the work of Footprints since his birth really, -with very little choice over the matter-, as he was born into the wonderful Footprints Family. He is always amazed when seeing the things that children who attend Footprints can achieve with the loving help from their parents. Having arrived earlier than expected himself, Jack has also had to overcome some challenges of his own, but this has been made easier with the love and inspiration from his Footprints Family and friends.

Jack is forever on the move and he loves walking but he has never attempted a distance like this. He will need all the help and encouragement he can get from his army of Dinosaurs (they mean EVERYTHING to him right now), plenty of snacks and his Mummy and Daddy too. Their challenge will be to keep Jack going through the hard times, when no doubt he will be saying 'Jack don't yike this' (and trust me, we hear that a LOT these days).

Jack will walk 2.6 km from his house to the borders of Newstead Abbey on his Dad's birthday and counts on your support in doing so. Please, donate to this wonderful cause, if you can afford to. We are truly grateful for all the help we can get to keep Footprints afloat. Thank you!  xx
