Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.
As some of you may already be aware, for the past few months I have been volunteering in Nepal with a small NGO called International Disaster Volunteers (IDV).
IDV arrived in Nepal just days after the devastating earthquakes in April and May of 2015. The quakes killed over 9,000 and left millions homeless in what was already Asia's poorest nation.
Since it's arrival, IDV has helped over 7,000 disaster survivors, with a particular focus on education projects.
After my arrival to Nepal, IDV made me a Construction Project Coordinator, meaning I am managing my own project.
This project consists of repairing two toilet buildings for a primary school located just outside of Kathmandu. Some of the toilets have a blockage, which occurred since the earthquake last year. The general condition of the facilities are in a poor condition too.
Maintenance work on the toilet buildings will not only give back the original number of toilets that the school needs, but also create clean and safe toilet facilities for the long term use of the school.
Please help support me and my efforts on this project in any way you can!
