This is one of my 50th year challenges ... pretty mad !! I've done triathlons before but this is a huge challenge for me. I chose the Cotswold Classic due to its lake swim and it is a good half Ironman for beginners. The Half Ironman is a 1.9km swim, 56 mile bike ride and a half marathon (13 miles).I have been training since February and it's going well !! Completion is my aim !!!

I'm hoping you all think it's a crazy enough challenge to sponsor me for Prostate Cancer...one for the boys !! I've chosen this charity as Dad had Prostate Cancer in 2008 and has lived with pretty awful side effects of the treatment for 11 years now.
