Story
I'm guilty, yes its true, in 2018 I hit the streets of Torbay dressed in what can only be described as a sausage skin, aka lycra.
At the time I weighed a whopping 20st 4 and I took up running for the very first time since I left school, we'll skip how many years ago that was.
Over the course of 2 years I have battled my own weight turning that tightly fitting sausage skin into a high performance material dedicated to increasing my running efficiency. Today I weight just over 15 stone a massive reduction.
Going back a couple of years before 2018 my partners father, Peter, was a guest at Rowcroft Hospice for a short period of time. During his short stay at Rowcroft he was treated with the upmost care and respect one could hope for.
Peter spent Christmas at Rowcroft and the staff allowed his rather large family to visit him.
Peter unfortunately passed away at Torbay Hospital on the 4th August 2016. Peter, I had got to know over a short 8 year period. The countless hours of business help, advise and support he had given me I was unable to repay.
I hope my honesty of crimes against wearing lycra, will help raise funds for this immensely generous and caring charity.
