Story
I am proud and excited to be part of the team running the 2021 London Marathon for Retina UK. I am running the marathon to support a work colleague who suffers from Retinitis Pigmentosa, an inherited disorder of the retina which causes progressive sight loss. There is unfortunately no cure for this inherited disorder at the moment. I am running the marathon in order to ensure that funds continue to be raised by this amazing charity to support further research and treatment with the goal of finding a cure.
Training is going extremely well! I am hoping to build on my time achieved in the 2020 Virtual Marathon and I am aiming for a time of under 4 hours. I have been able to slim down dramatically and I am approaching a comfortable race weight through more cardiovascular orientated training whilst also building up the mileage steadily.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated in order to help me raise vital funds for those suffering with Retinitis Pigmentosa. My page donations will be sent direct to the charity in a fast and secure way. Its efficient, saves time and cuts costs for the charity. Let's do this!
Thank you!
James
