We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I have decided to run the 2016 Virgin Money London Marathon in memory of my mum who lost her life to cancer in 2004. Anyone who would have known my mum would of known the loving, caring and happier side to her. This is where I have found the inspiration from to complete this task that I have in front of me. This is the reason why I have chosen to run for Cancer Research UK and beat cancer sooner, because with your help and donations, more and more people can have the chance to live their lives with their families and friends with out facing cancer and see the loving, caring and happier side to them, for longer.

We could sit back and pretend that cancer will eventually go away and it wont bother us. Or we could do something about it! I ask you to think back not to just how you felt when someone told you "they've got cancer" or that "that person died of cancer". I ask you to think back also to how you felt when someone told you "They BEAT cancer". How did that make you feel? How happy was the look on their face? We are about to make that feeling become a lot more popular!

My younger sister didn't have the chance to gain as much memories as me and my elder sister did with my mum and it breaks my heart to think that really my younger sister only ever knew my mum when she had cancer. If we supported cancer more, would my sister have got more happier memories with my mum?

My goal in this fundraiser is to raise £5000 for Cancer Research UK. Weather you donate £1 to what ever amount you can spare, I thank you. Any donation is grateful and will inspire me to get through every step of the 26.2 miles that I will do! And help beat cancer sooner.

I will also be holding a charity fundraiser in February at McQ's in Bannockburn with live music and lot's of great raffle and auction prizes to be won. If you are interested, for further details please get in touch.

Thank you!
