A team of 33 superheroes from the convenience retail and wholesale sector are taking to their bikes for the 5th and final time to raise awareness and life-saving funds for MAG's work. The will cycle through extreme heat to cross Cambodia in six days.

Story

Part mid-life crisis, part conscience awakening we were in Cambodia during the summer, seeing first hand the impact land mines have had in this part of the world.  There are still more than 60 million mines in the ground in Cambodia alone, which will continue to create havoc unless we act to rid the world of these devastating devices.

It will be 25 years this year since I've done anything remotely resembling the physicality of this challenge.  We'll be clicking through over 500km over 5 days - mostly off-road.  My well padded backside...all of me actually will be in for an enormous shakedown on this physical task but I know it will be worth it.

MAG saves lives and builds futures through mine and unexploded bomb clearance and risk education programmes. I believe in the vision of world free from the threat of landmines so I am taking on this enormous challenge to raise awareness and much-needed funding for this incredible cause. Please show your support by sponsoring me today!

Please exploit any employer donation matching schemes you have in place within your companies.  If you'd like your logo on my shirt, I'm happy to oblige for the right donation.

thanks for your support...

About the campaign

A team of 33 superheroes from the convenience retail and wholesale sector are taking to their bikes for the 5th and final time to raise awareness and life-saving funds for MAG's work. The will cycle through extreme heat to cross Cambodia in six days.

About the charity

Every single day, 15 people are killed or injured because of landmines and other explosive weapons. Half of all civilian casualties are children. MAG finds and destroys these weapons to save lives and rebuild futures; helping people to grow crops, attend school and build homes.
