James's page

Hi there! My name is James Bostock and I am a supervisor for Starbucks in Warrington, and I am organising charity events in store to raise money for Claire house hospice in Liverpool.
The reason I want to raise money for the hospice is that they recently cared for my beautiful niece Niamh, sadly Niamh was born with a tumour and passed away on September 16th 2013 aged just 51 days old.
By raising £6,500 as a family we can help Claire House continue to help out other families who have ill children and they will also name a day after Niamh! :)
Niamh was born on 27th July 2013, her parents, Lucy and James, were so proud! She was born with beautiful big eyes, little chubby cheeks, and a mop of lovely dark hair (I was jealous of her hair as soon as I met her!)
Niamh became ill when she was 12 days old and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and sadly after being transferred to the Neurosurgical High Dependancy Unit was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive brain tumour. The doctor’s and MacMillan support staff at Alder Hey suggested that Niamh, Lucy and James go to stay at Claire House Children’s Hospice where they would get all of the support and care that Niamh, and they as parents, would require.
During Niamh’s stay at Claire House, the staff helped Niamh enjoy lots of lovely activities and create memories that the rest of her family will never forget. Lucy and the staff organised a 50th Birthday party for Niamh’s Granddad John, she got to play the drums with her Dad’s help as well as going swimming with Lucy and James in the hydrotherapy pool at Claire House, and as a special treat for Niamh’s 1 month Birthday she was able to go to Chester Zoo to meet her Mummy and Daddy’s favourite animals – the Monkeys!!
Niamh was such a brave beautiful baby, she hardly ever cried, fought her illness as much as she could, she could light up a room, make you forget she was ill, make you smile, laugh and cry. We will never forget our little angel.
Some of the events planned so far are;
• All staff dress in pink.
• Guess the number of coffee beans in a cup competition.
• Name the monkey competition.
• Christmas Raffle.
Thank you for reading and helping support this great cause,
James
