Hi guys my name is James and I am 9-years-old. I have Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy. One of the symptoms is that it causes a painful, tightness in my legs, so I am unable to walk independently.

National charity, Caudwell Children, is supporting me and other children like me by raising money to fund ground breaking treatment and physiotherapy which can help children like me with Cerebral Palsy walk unaided for the first time.

I cannot stand without assistance and I have to crawl around on all fours.  I wish so much to be able to walk like other children one day.

Together with my family and friends we need your help to raise £35,000 so that I can go to Frenchay Hospital, Bristol for Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR), a complicated procedure which involves cutting some of the sensory nerve fibres that come from the muscles and enter the spinal cord. The operation will reduce spasticity, giving me the opportunity to walk unaided for the first time.

Eventually after a great deal of hard work and therapy, I will hopefully walk unaided and pain-free.  This will give me the life that I have longed for and I hope that you will help us in making my dream of walking come true.

To do this we need donations for as much or as little as you can give, to raise the much needed funds for this bright, happy, fun-loving little boy.
