Fleet Half Marathon · 19 March 2017
Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you know running has never been high on my priorities list. I enjoy my food and I enjoy a little drink every now and then. (Que Banter.) Over the past year many things have happened to friends and colleagues that have changed their lives and made me thankful of how lucky I am. I challenged myself in the New Year, that before the year is out I wanted to achieve a marathon and although I am doing it for my own reasons, I would like to raise a little bit of money for some Charities while I am there.
My first challenge is the Fleet Half Marathon in March with a few friends from work. There will be more challenges along the way leading up to a Marathon in October.
I would be immensely grateful that if you have taken the time to read my story and given me any banter, that you would donate a few pounds and pence that you might have in spare change lying around. Average cost of a pint of beer is £3. If you feel you could have one less at the pub then please donate that money to my first charity, the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund who, have given us the opportunity to take part in this event. They help a lot of serving and ex servicemen and women across many aspects of their lives. They do a fantastic job with the help from donations and your change will make a difference no matter how big or small.
Many thanks for all of your support.
Jamie
