Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 3 September 1999 my triplets Olivia, Mary and Ronan Ingram made medical history. Born at Kings College Hospital in London. Ronan was a result of an ectopic triplet pregnancy, the worlds first. The odds of this happening were 60 million to 1.
At the time of my children's birth, our family had world wide media attention as it was such an exceptional medical story of conception, birth and survival. We even made the Guinness Book of Records. You can Google 'Ronan Ingram ectopic triplet' for more of this miraculous medical story.
Next year, when I do this challenge, Olivia, Mary and Ronan will have turned 18 years old. It will also be my 50th year and I wanted to do something out of the norm, to celebrate our survival and give back to those that really mattered, those professionals who looked after us so wonderfully well, professionals who work so hard and tirelessly and still continue to do so for others. If it were not for these professionals the four of us would not be here to tell our story today.
I am raising money for West Suffolk Hospital Neonatal Unit where Olivia, Mary and Ronan spent the first 10 weeks of their lives.
If everyone  who looks at this page could only donate the minimum £2.00, Olivia, Mary, Ronan and myself would be so grateful and this would make our journey so much more worth while. My Sister Kim Mitchell is also doing this challenge with me raising funds on behalf of her Son Sam who has a diagnosis of Tourettes Syndrome. You can also look at the charity Tourettes Action and also donate on there too if you wish.

This challenge commences on the 7 October 2017. I will be self funding this trip so any money we raise will go straight to the charities. I have been training since January 2016 and have lost 2 1/2 stone in weight and did not realise how many muscles I have! We will be trekking many steep hills, climbing thousands upon thousands of steep steps over 50k, 5 to 8 hours a day over a 5 day period.

Although you can choose to donate to any of these charities, Kim and I will be fundraising together and separately and any cash raised will be divided between the two charities.
Thank you so much for your time in looking at this charity page and thank you sincerely for your support.
