 I am taking part in the Great North 10K and the Great North Run, on the 9th July and 10th September retrospectively.

For anyone that knows me, I only officially started my running journey back in September 2016, despite many failed attempts over the years. I am not a fast runner, or a slim runner...in fact I have adopted the hashtag #chubbyrunner. I felt the desire to enter the Great North Run after one of my best friends took part last year and I felt inspired.When I got my place back in January, there was only one charity that I wanted to run for. Tiny Lives were there for me and my fiance when my little boy arrived a week early and needed treatment in the Special Care Unit at the RVI, and remained a patient there for 2 weeks and continuing treatment for several months afterwards. It was to their invaluable work that I will forever be indebted. This way I  hope to give a little back.
