Story
I was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis in November 2020. It has been a challenging time for me as this was a diagnosis that I never expected to have.
Trying to process this diagnosis whilst being under lockdown restrictions was a hard time for me. I was so eager to fight against this disease and everywhere I researched would talk about exercise. I started to go for walks with my friends locally then pushed myself further. Going for walks has helped me physically and mentally, which is why I have chosen to challenge myself to walk up Snowdon raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre.
The Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre (NW) is an independent Charity offering a range of alternative therapies for those with MS and other long-term neurological conditions. They offer things like Oxygen Therapy, physiotherapy, counselling, electro-magnetic therapy, tailored exercise classes, and an adapted gym, all on a self-help basis at the Centre in Trafford Park. The Centre itself is also a community hub for those with MS and their carers/families to share their experiences and support each other. They receive no Government funding and rely solely on community donations and the hard work of volunteers, many of whom also have MS. Every penny they receive makes a huge difference in keeping the Charity going, so they can continue to provide services that improve the lives of those with MS.
I have recently been in a great space, focusing on becoming the best version of myself which I have been documenting on Instagram @holistic_journey_
Thank you for taking the time to visit my just giving page, I appreciate any donation given. I would also like to take this time to say thank you to my family and friends for the endless support during my journey and those joining me to raise money and hike up Snowdon with me!
